What Is Plexr Plus® and How Does It Work?

The short version: a small, handheld device creates a controlled arc of plasma energy that acts precisely on the skin surface, tightening and removing tissue at the exact point of treatment without cutting, stitching, or affecting the skin around it.

The longer version: Plexr Plus® uses plasma, the fourth state of matter, created by ionizing atmospheric gases through a specialized handheld device. This produces a controlled electrical arc that causes targeted sublimation of skin cells with minimal lateral thermal spread, without cutting or damaging adjacent skin. The result is immediate contraction of skin fibers at the treatment point and stimulation of natural tightening and renewal processes over the weeks that follow.

What makes it different from other non-surgical skin treatments is precision. Non-Surgical Eyelid Tightening (Blepharoplasty Alternative)

Lift and tighten eyelids without surgery, an operating room, or the recovery that follows. Plexr Plus® is the primary non-surgical alternative to blepharoplasty, contracting excess eyelid skin through controlled plasma energy. It offers a level of surface precision that many other non-invasive technologies cannot achieve in this area. Suitable for upper eyelids, lower eyelids, and the skin beneath the eyes.

Perioral Lines and Lip Area Soften

The lines around the mouth that lasers and injectables have only partially addressed. The perioral region involves some of the thinnest, most mobile skin on the face. Plexr Plus® removes tissue precisely at the surface without cutting, producing targeted tightening where precision is essential and surrounding tissue must be preserved.

Skin Laxity and Fine Lines (Face and Neck)

All lesions are clinically assessed before treatment to confirm benign status.

Acne Scars and Surface Textural Irregularity

Improve shallow scarring and uneven texture with controlled precision. For shallow boxcar scars and surface textural irregularity, Plexr Plus® may be used alongside or instead of fractional laser depending on scar type and skin tone, delivering controlled surface refinement without direct contact with the skin.

Localized Pigmented Lesions

For localized pigmented lesions where precise surface removal is appropriate, plasma offers targeted action with minimal impact on surrounding skin. Treatment is restricted to Fitzpatrick skin types I to III. All pigmented lesions are assessed before any treatment proceeds.

Active Acne (Selected Cases)

In selected presentations, plasma energy may be used to target active acne by reducing the bacteria and sebaceous activity at the skin surface. This is a secondary indication and is assessed carefully during consultation based on skin type, acne severity, and overall treatment plan.

Important: Plexr Plus® is indicated for Fitzpatrick skin types I to III only. Individuals with Fitzpatrick skin types IV to VI are not suitable candidates due to an increased risk of post-treatment pigment changes, including hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation. Skin type assessment and eligibility are determined during consultation.

What to Expect

The Session

30 to 90 Minutes

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. The Plexr Plus® device creates small, precise plasma arcs at treatment points on the skin. Most patients describe sensations of brief warmth or mild tingling. No needles, no cutting, no surgical preparation required.

The Healing Process

5 to 10 Days

This is the part people want to know about honestly. Small brown crusts form at each treatment point and fall away on their own within 5 to 10 days, revealing new skin underneath. Some swelling is common, particularly around the eyes, and usually settles within a few days. Most people plan for 5 to 7 days of social downtime. The crusts must be left alone to heal properly.

Results

Gradual and Long-Lasting

Some tightening is visible immediately after treatment due to skin contraction. Results continue to develop over several weeks as the skin heals and natural tightening processes progress. Because Plexr Plus® involves actual tissue removal rather than simple stimulation, improvements are expected to last years rather than months, though natural aging continues. A series of 2 to 3 sessions spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results.
